PWhy encrypt the drives at all? First, to make it decidedly more difficult for people who will want to get to our data, if the device is lost or left behind, or someone knowingly wants to get to that data. Secondly, to make our lives easier, and not have to somehow over-explain our failure to perform our duties if there is personal data on that computer, on those disks.
I think that's enough in terms of why. Now what do we need? Windows 10 by default, Windows 10 itself is enough. With one exception, the Home version of Windows does not have the BitLocker feature that we will want to use. How to check which one it is, which Windows we have, I will show in a moment. The next useful thing is the so-called TPM module built into the motherboard of our computer the so-called Trusted Platform Module although this is not essential and on our channel you will learn how to get around it.
In the video you will learn how we encrypted the data on our computer. We can carry our computer with less fear of potential problems if we lose it or someone steals it from us. Just remember one thing, not only to protect ourselves from access to our data by others in the form of encryption, but also to protect ourselves.
Safeguard against not having access to that data, because if you lose your computer, it makes sense that you would need to have any security copies in some other place. If you are sure that your data is backed up, if it is well secured then great. If you have any doubt that this is the case, contact us for a free consultation.
